The Violator is a very high-damage, long-range, slow-firing, turret that attacks ground and air enemies.

Sanctum Edit

The Violator was introduced in the September 26, 2011 update as paid DLC, but is now free for everyone. Because its attack is hitscan and accurate, the Violator is effective against even the fastest enemies. It aims at the center of its target, and as such is not reliable against enemies with small weak spots.

Boasting of the largest combat radius, the Violator is a far-reaching, slow-firing, single-target tower that specializes in heavy damage. With this DLC, you will be able to utilize this tower in both single-player and multiplayer matches. Friends who possess the DLC will be able to assist you in upgrading this tower should the need arise.

While many may frown upon its mediocre DPS / $, there are some noteworthy uses of violator. Violator works best when it is perched high above most towers as to improve its line of sight on the ground below, thus maximizing the innate height of the violator itself. Though where it shines most would be in use with conjunction with air lumes, as anti-air projectiles are slow, there are often times where they simply cannot keep up with the incoming waves of air lumes. The violator's massive range will reach out to those lumes where anti-air will not even be in range yet to begin reducing their numbers before overwhelming the anti-air, their hitscan shots guarantees swift damage to fast moving targets, all while providing secondary ground control when there are no air lumes around.

Violator S2

The Violator's damage and range both increase as it is upgraded, but its firing speed remains the same. Unlike the previous game, the Violator's accuracy is not perfect, and may often miss fast enemies. The Violator is capable of easily piercing through the armour of enemies like the Armoured Heavy but tends to miss weakspots certain enemies like the Bobble Head.

Because the Violator fires incredibly slowly (about one shot every ten seconds), it is best paired with complex mazes, slowing Towers (Kairos, Slow Mine Dispenser), slowing Perks, or kiting enemies with the player.
